Dr. Stephen Hawn grew up in the Chicagoland area before attending the University of Notre Dame for his undergraduate degree, where he graduated magna cum laude. He received a full-tuition merit-based scholarship to attend Washington University in St. Louis for medical school. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he spent extra elective time studying strabismus surgery and eyelid surgery.
Dr. Hawn is well-versed in comprehensive ophthalmology and treats patients with a range of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, age-related macular degeneration, pediatrics, droopy eyelids, eye misalignment and double vision. He specializes in modern cataract surgery and enjoys getting to know his patients, and is passionate about improving their vision and their quality of life.
Dr. Hawn enjoys participating in the interdisciplinary care of his patients and takes extra time to communicate with Primary Care providers and other Specialists.
